Built for British plumbing

Your pipes are
older than you
think.

Rainkind is a dual-sided, high-pressure shower head with a replaceable cotton filter in the handle. It catches the sediment, rust flakes and grit your pipework carries — and it shows you exactly how much of it there was.

The part nobody looks at

Clear water isn’t the
same as clean water.

Water leaves the treatment works clean. Then it travels through mains, into a building, up through pipework that in much of the UK is decades old — cast iron, galvanised steel, copper, sometimes a loft tank.

It picks things up on the way: suspended sediment, flakes of rust, scale fragments, grit stirred up whenever the mains are worked on. None of it is visible in a glass. All of it lands on the cotton pad inside a Rainkind handle.

Rainkind is a mechanical particle filter. It does not soften water or change its mineral content — see the FAQ.

How it works

Filter, pressure and a stop button — in one handle.

Nothing to install, nothing to plumb in. It replaces the head you already have and does three jobs the old one didn’t.

01

A cotton pad does the catching

Water enters the clear handle and passes through a dense PP cotton cartridge before it reaches the nozzles. Particles stay in the pad. You can see it working through the housing — the cotton darkens as it fills.

02

Swap it in 30 seconds

Unscrew the housing, lift the old pad out, drop a new one in, screw it back. No tools. The manufacturer rates each cartridge at 3–6 months, depending on your water and how much you shower.

03

Pressure from geometry, not a pump

A laser-drilled 304 stainless panel narrows each outlet, so the same flow leaves the head faster. Noticeably firmer on tired gravity-fed systems.

Three spray modes: rainfall, jet and mixed
04

Three sprays, two faces

Turn the face for rainfall, jet, or both together. Flip the head end-over-end for the second face — a wide soft rain on one side, a concentrated massage jet on the other. The bracket pivots 45° so you can aim it without moving the rail.

Using less, without a cold shower

The button that pauses the water — not the temperature

Water companies are asking households to cut what they use, and the biggest easy win in a bathroom is the water that runs while nobody is under it. Press the button on the handle and the flow stops at the head. Lather, shave, shampoo. Press again and it comes back at the temperature you already set — you never touch the mixer, so there is no cold-then-scalding hunt to get back.

There is also a flow dial on the neck: turn it down for everyday washing, turn it up when you want the full force.

We don’t publish a percentage saving. How much you save depends entirely on your shower, your habits and how long you pause — anyone quoting you an exact figure is guessing.

Why you can trust this

We’d rather earn it than claim it.

Rainkind is new. Instead of borrowing credibility we haven’t built yet, here is exactly what we do and don’t stand behind.

We tell you what it can’t do

Most filtered shower heads are sold as “water softeners”. This one isn’t one, and we say so on the product page, in the FAQ and in the footer. A cotton pad traps particles. It does not change your water’s mineral content.

Claims kept within UK advertising rules

30 days to change your mind

Fit it, use it, look at the cotton. If it comes out white, or you simply don’t get on with it, send it back within 30 days. Your legal 14-day right to cancel sits on top of that and we spell out who pays return postage before you buy, not after.

No customer reviews yet. This is a new product and we haven’t sold enough of it to have honest ones. When customers leave reviews they will appear here, tied to verified orders. We won’t be writing any ourselves — inventing reviews is illegal in the UK, and it is the fastest way to lose the only thing a new brand has.

Before you buy

The honest answers.

Does this soften my water?+
No, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Rainkind is a mechanical particle filter — a dense cotton pad that physically traps sediment, rust flakes and grit. It does not use ion exchange, it does not remove dissolved minerals, and it will not change how hard your water is or stop limescale forming. Anything sold as a shower head that claims to soften water is claiming something a cotton pad cannot do.
So what does it actually remove?+
Suspended solids: sediment, particulate rust, scale fragments and grit carried along by your pipework and stirred up when the mains are disturbed. You can judge it for yourself — the cotton is white when you fit it, and it doesn’t stay that way.
Will it fit my shower?+
If your current head unscrews from a flexible hose, yes. Rainkind uses the standard 1/2" BSP connection used across the UK. Hand-tighten it onto the hose with the supplied washer — no tools, no plumber. It does not replace a fixed ceiling rainfall arm or an electric shower unit’s built-in head.
How often do I change the cartridge?+
The manufacturer rates each cartridge at 3–6 months. In practice it depends on how many people use the shower and what your water carries — the honest answer is to change it when the cotton has visibly darkened. That’s why the housing is clear.
Will it improve my water pressure?+
The panel is laser-drilled with narrower outlets, which makes the same flow leave the head faster and feel firmer. That is geometry, not a pump — it cannot create pressure that isn’t in the pipe. On a gravity-fed or low-pressure system the difference is usually obvious; on an already-powerful mains system it feels sharper rather than stronger.
How long does delivery take?+
Free delivery across the UK. Current dispatch and delivery windows are on our shipping page — we publish real timings there rather than a number that looks good on a product page.
What if I change my mind?+
You have two overlapping protections. By law you can cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and then a further 14 days to send it back. On top of that we give you 30 days to change your mind. Just email us with your order number — you don’t need to give a reason.
Who pays for return postage?+
If you simply change your mind, you cover the cost of sending it back — we recommend a tracked service. If the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, we pay: we’ll cover the return cost or send you a prepaid label. We’d rather tell you this before you buy than surprise you afterwards.
What if it arrives faulty or damaged?+
Email us with a photo and we’ll make it right. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have the right to reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days of delivery, and we don’t make you jump through hoops to use it.
Where do I send a return?+
Rainkind Returns, MY BASKETO LTD, 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Please request the return by email first so we can track it — parcels that arrive unannounced take much longer to process. Full details are in our returns policy.
Can I return filter cartridges?+
Sealed filter packs can be returned if the seal is unbroken — filters are a hygiene product, so we can’t resell an opened pack. This doesn’t affect your rights if the filters are faulty.
