About Rainkind

Rainkind makes one thing: a dual-sided, high-pressure shower head with a replaceable cotton filter, built for the plumbing British homes actually have.

Why we started

Most UK homes run hard water through old pipework, and most shower filters answer that with claims they can’t back up — “softer water”, “chlorine-free”, “no more limescale”. A cotton particle filter does none of those things, and we won’t pretend otherwise.

What it does do is catch the sediment, rust and grit that travel through your pipes, behind a clear window in the handle so you can watch the cotton change colour. That’s the whole product. No lab claims, no miracle promises — you fit it, shower as normal, and look at the filter a month later.

How we operate

We ship to UK addresses only, with free delivery on every order. Stock is sourced from our manufacturing partner and shipped to you directly, which is why delivery takes around 2–3 weeks — the honest timings are on our shipping page.

Our promise

You get 30 days from delivery to change your mind, on top of your legal 14-day right to cancel. If the cotton comes out white after a month, send the whole thing back for a full refund. We spell out who pays return postage before you buy, in our returns policy.
